To Love is to be Vulnerable (OctPoWriMo Day 20)

The prompt today was to write a love poem. To me, a love poem is about being vulnerable, because if you truly love someone, anyone, you are opening yourself up to them. Being vulnerable can be scary but it is worth it.

They Say Love I Say

They say
love is power—
for if I love you
you have power
over me,
manipulation,
control,
for your own personal gain
or satisfaction. It’s all about
your control
over me.
They say.
            --Selfishness.

I say
love is not power—
for if I love you, truly,
I relinquish all power
over you,
your free will,
freedom,
is not for my gain or
satisfaction. It’s all about
releasing my control
over you.
I say.
            --Vulnerabiltiy.

  3. Love is such a powerful force and most mysterious. I do believe that true love is about vulnerability and allowing oneself to be vulnerable. Thank you for sharing your poem with us at OctPoWriMo.

  4. Real love is never a bad thing. Unfortunately, at least in my own case, there have been things that weren't really love but I convinced myself they were.

  8. Rising healthcare expenses in developed nations have made it difficult for many people to seek the medical care they need. From 2011 to 2012, healthcare costs in the United States increased 3.7 percent, costing consumers $2.8 trillion, or $8,915 each person. Some analysts estimated the latest figures to be closer to $3.8 trillion with government spending at a whopping 17.9% of GDP. Australians spent $132.4 billion on healthcare, while people in the UK spent £24.85 billion. Government expenditure in both these countries sit at between 9-10% of GDP, which may seem more manageable compared to the US, however healthcare leaders in both these countries are taking a firm view of preventing any escalation of these percentages. With the high costs of health care around the world, many stakeholders wonder if introducing or adjusting copayments will produce better health outcomes. The topic is being hotly debated in Australia, where co-payments for General Practitioner visits have been proposed by the Liberal government in its most recent Federal Budget announcement. However, while healthcare stakeholders seem obsessed with costs, the question is do copayments actually improve health outcomes for these nations? Best Cannabis Pre-rolls

  10. Serious pet owners have heard about why they need to make sure that they feed their cat a proper cat diet, and why they need to avoid bad commercial cat food. If you are buying cat food from major retailers, you might be in for a big surprise. The cat food that you find labeled "Premium Cat Food" might not actually be as great for your beloved cat as you would believe. The fact is that the pet food industry has many dirty little secrets that they just do not want consumers to know. Before you pick up that next bad of cat chow, learn a little bit more about the industry and then make your decision. aqiqah bandung
